Rue L. Boswell

RUE L. BOSWELL, age 81, of North Little Rock, passed away April 2, 2016 in Conway, Ark. He was born Oct. 11, 1934 in El Dorado, Ark. He was the son of Leroy and Elba Anderson Boswell. Mr. Boswell was raised in El Dorado, where upon finishing high school, he enlisted in the Navy and had an active part in the building and construction of Subic Bay Naval Base. After serving four years in the Navy, Rue went to Louisiana Tech University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Engineering and continued to work throughout the years as a Civil Engineer, working in Vietnam as an advising counselor on irrigation and later with HARZA Engineering where he worked in Pakistan until 1995. Rue enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, bowling, and always staying active. He is preceded by his parents and infant son, Rue L. Boswell, Jr.; brothers, Bobby Boswell and Donnie Boswell; and a sister, June Boswell Lowery. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Frankie Boswell; a son, Chris Boswell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Hebron Cemetery in Sykes, La. with a time of visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Huson Funeral Home at 7700 Highway 107, Sherwood, AR 72120. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to a charity of your choice or to the Hebron Cemetery Association at 260 j Vines Road, Winfield, LA 71483.
