Louise Nesbitt Brinningstall Vandegrift

LOUISE NESBITT BRINNINGSTALL VANDEGRIFT (Sarge) has traveled through this land for 94 years and on April 15th, 2016 moved on to another land to join loved ones who have gone on before her. During her time here on this earth she enjoyed cooking for large gatherings, bluegrass music shows, camping, and a member of the Sylvan Hills Eastern Star. Lou was preceded in death by her first husband, C. Kenneth Brinningstall; grandson, Kenneth J. Cossey; two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Giles V. (Bud) Vandegrift; three daughters, Betty Thornquist (Jack) of Romance, Peggy Petray (George) of Scott and Evelyn Agee (Larry) of Foley, Ala.; brother, Boyd Nesbitt (Shirley) of Winslow; sister-in-law, Dorothy Nesbitt of Sherwood; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
