He was affectionately known to family and friends as "Bobby Doll", a name given to him by his niece Alice when she was 3. He is predeceased in death by his parents Robert Manley and Alice Lincoln Eubanks and his older sister Alice. Bob was born in Little Rock on March 7, 1952. Educated in Arkansas, Bob attended the University of Arkansas where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. During this time, he spent weekends with the Arkansas Air National Guard as a map charting specialist. He held top clearance while mapping the island of Cuba. Not to spoil his appearance, he wore a blond wig to avoid a military haircut. After graduating from Arkansas Law School, Bob backpacked solo around the world. It was an exciting and challenging trip he loved to reminisce about. Up on returning home, Bob served as Pulaski County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney until his appointment by Bill Clinton as Arkansas State Insurance Commissioner. He then joined the Mitchell Law firm. Bob was very active in civic life, serving on many charitable boards. In 1994, he was elected Mayor of Cammack Village. Bob loved the Arkansas outdoors, especially time spent in the duck woods with his son Shell. Bob was a devoted father, husband and brother. He leaves behind a multitude of friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Honorary pallbearers include: Gar Eisele, Don Bratcher, Gerald Hannahs, John Compton, Woody Bassett, Gardner Bogle and Scott Trotter.
