Chad Wise

Chad Wise, 32, of Atkins, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, in North Little Rock. He was born May 18, 1983, son of Joe Bob Wise and Sandra Tester. He attended Atkins Schools most of his life before transferring to Lonoke where he was a member of the 2000 class 3A State Basketball Championship team. He also played competitively with the AAU Arkansas Wings and received a scholarship to the University of Connecticut (UCONN). He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, canoeing, and golf. He was a good friend to everyone he met, and had a smile that would light up a room. He loved his family, and especially enjoyed playing with his nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Betty Meadows; and paternal grandfather, Bob Wise. He is survived by his mother, Sandra and husband Morris Tester; father, Joe Bob Wise; sister, Elizabeth Wise; nephew, Mason Hambrick; two nieces, Layla Ann Dismuke and Jessica Ann Wise; maternal grandparents, Darrell Webb and wife Frances; two uncles, Keith Webb, and Chris Meadows and his daughter Megan Sue; and many special friends. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, April 28, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Edwin Brewer and Rev. Robin St. Clair officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
