James (Jim) Troy Watts

James Troy Watts (Jim), 77, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed peacefully from this life on July 30, 2016. Jim was born June 1, 1939, and was the son of the late Bill and Opal Watts. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ and a Marine Veteran. He loved God, his family, and his friends. He was a man of his word, generous and kind, a trusted friend and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. One could always expect a warm handshake and/or bearhug. Jim and his business partner, Sherrill Breeding, opened Glass Erectors, Inc. in 1978, and thrived the business, caring for their employees like family. He was active in many business related organizations such as the AIC, LREA, and BGA. Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Gass and Mary Cash. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn Martin Watts of Maumelle and their children: daughter, Kelly Justus (Will) of Haskell; son, Steve Watts (Tamara) of Conway; daughter, Lauri Mannon (Dale) of Lubbock, Texas. Cherished also are grandchildren: Rachel Trull (Jeremy), Jake Simmons (Katelyn), Eric Simmons (Jessica), Alex Watts and Garrett Watts, Jedidiah (Shelley) Mannon, Sarah Mannon, Jared Mannon, Jordan Mannon, and Jacob Mannon; great-grandchildren, also very loved, Tyler Trull, Raylan Simmons, Cora Simmons, Daylon Mannon, and Olivia Mannon; and brother, Phil Watts (Lavern). He enjoyed golf with customers, family and friends. He loved Maumelle Country Club where he was a member for 32 years. Staff and friends affectionately called him "Jimmie Sue". A life well lived, he was well loved, and will be missed. Memorial service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211, (501) 224-8300. The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m., Wednesday, August, 3, 2016, at the funeral home.
