Veda Mae Linam

Veda Mae King Linam, 91 of Benton formerly of Rector passed away on Saturday August 6, 2016 in Bryant, Arkansas. She was born on March 10, 1925 in Patterson, Arkansas to the late John Alexander and Charlotta (Lewis) King. She was preceded in death by her husband: John Melvin Linam; infant son: Gary Gene Linam; grandson: Jeremy Linam; son-in-law: John Eaton; and four sisters: Beulah Surber, Irene Helms, Lillian Potts, and Lucille Webb. Veda is survived by her children: Ronnie and Brenna Linam of Rector, Perry and Barbara Linam of Jonesboro, Donna Eaton of Benton, Dana Ross and Jerry of Joplin; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and special friends. Visitation is Monday August 8, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Irby Funeral Home in Rector. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bradley Linam officiating. Interment at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
