Robert E Barger

Robert E. Barger, (90) of Rogers, Arkansas (formerly of Glen Ellyn, Illinois) died Monday, August 8, 2016 at a local skilled care center. He served in the US Navy during World War II aboard the USS Jason in the Pacific Theater and was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He served as Grand Master of Mason Lodge in Rogers. He sang in the choir of the Presbyterian Church for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph H. and Verna Hughes Barger. Robert is survived by his wife of 69 years: Jane Barger, two sons Robert (Debra) and Richard (Pamela), 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law, Portia. A celebration of his life will be at First Presbyterian Church of Rogers at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10. Honors provided by Northwest Arkansas Honor Guard.
