Weldon Lamar Graves

Weldon Lamar Graves, 78 of Conway died Monday August 22, 2016 at Conway Regional Medical Center. Born May 20, 1938 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Carl Graves and Muriel Lee Watts Graves. He began his airline career in 1957 with Braniff International Airways until 1982. He continued his career with Ozark Airlines and Trans World Airlines, and retired from American Airlines in 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edwin Graves; a sister, Annette Waymack; a niece, Tiffany Bryant. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Meece Graves of Conway; daughter, Kathy Lynn Klein (Bob) of Quitman; sister-in-law, Cindy Bryant (Jim) of Conway; two grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Cummings (Nate) of Benton, Megan Elise Perkins (Byron) of Friendship; three great-grandsons, Joshua Paul Cummings, Davis Michael Cummings, Raylan McMahan Perkins, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with services starting at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery.
