Gearline "Jerry" Moser

GEARLINE (JERRY) ELROD BLAKELY MOSER, of Little Rock, was born November 15, 1925 at Prattsville, Ark., the daughter of the late Laster and Roxie Benning Elrod. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Little Rock, where she taught Sunday school most of her adult life. She had a passion to teach children the love of Christ. She also worked at AT&T and Teletype in Little Rock. Mrs. Moser died August 27, 2016 at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs, at the age of 90. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her son, Howard Blakely; sisters, Faye Stuckey, Nina Crutchfield , Evelyn Pool, Remagene Holiman, Henerette Moore and Jewell Wynne. Survivors include her husband, M.L. Moser of Little Rock; son, Harvey Blakely of Malvern; stepsons, Maurice and David (Nancy) Moser of Texas; and sister, Janette Phillips of Malvern. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Interment will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be Monday, August 29, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
