James Olen Barger

James Olen Barger, age 93 of Searcy, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his home. He was born January 14, 1923 at Higginson to John Thomas Barger and Mary Annie Simpson Barger. He is survived by one daughter, Sheila Baxter and husband Joe of Ward; two grandsons, Jonathan Baxter and wife Amanda of NLR, Joseph Baxter and wife Dusty of Ward; one great-grandchild, Katey Baxter of Ward; and one sister, Bobbie Jones of NLR. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances Barger; and siblings, Coen Barger, Lyda Busby, Herbert Barger, Deola Crossland, Leslie Barger, Carrol Barger, Arlie Barger, Archie Barger, and Erwin Barger. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens.
