Christine Louise Goodnight

Christine Louise " MeMaw" Goodnight 75, of Enola, Arkansas passed away Monday, December 12, 2016. She was born August 10, 1941 in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas to the late Russell and Ellen (Dice) Chance. Louise married Leon Goodnight on May 24 1958 in Greenville, Mississippi. They were members of Enola Church of Christ. Mom loved country music, Elvis Presley, the Razorbacks, and Politics. She was a loyal viewer of Fox News and especially fond of Bill O'Reilly. She was a hard worker and strict disciplinarian to her own children, yet very loving doting and forgiving of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an excellent sales lady in the Optical Field, and had many loyal customers in the Little Rock and North Little Rock markets. A devout Christian, that studied and knew the Bible well. Devoted wife and mother that was happy to have family in her home and found many reasons to prolong a visit. She never really had a lot of worldly possessions, but she was blessed with countless friends and always willing to share all that she had with those that had less. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leon Goodnight, a daughter, Leisa Faie Goodnight, sister, Cuma Henry, four brothers, Herman Chance, Jerry Chance, Paul David Chance, and Otis James Chance, sister-in-law, Joann Chance and loved as grandchildren the late John Gregory and Dustin Boone. She is survived by her children, Rick (Connie) Goodnight of Enola, Rusty (Gina) Goodnight of Conway, and Deanna (Tom) Taylor of Enola, grandchildren, Amanda (Joey) Pearce, Christin (Shane) Prater, Heather (Chris) Killough, Justin (Gretchen) Goodnight, Cody Goodnight, Troy (Paula) Weatherley, Seth (Macy) Taylor, great-grandchildren, Riley and Dugan Pearce, Alec and Avery Goodnight, Carson and Mason Prater, John and Cooper Weatherley, Katy Anne, Koleman and Savannah Goodnight, and Halle Killough, sister, Marie (Don) Anthony of Corpus Christi, Texas; three brothers, Ed (Cleo) Chance of Conway, Emmett (Evelyn) Chance of Enola, and James Chance and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. Pallbearers: Allen Chance, Mike Chance, Tim Chance, Jason Ingram, Travis Chance, and Tyler Harral. Honorary Pallbearers: Blake Anthony, Donnie Anthony, Steve Harral, Ethan Chance, Preston Brock, and Colt Chance.
