DON KENNEY, 69, of Little Rock passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016. He was born Feb. 19, 1947 in Little Rock, Ark., to Homer and Joan Bennett Kenney. He played baritone saxophone in the marching band at Central High School and then at the University of Arkansas. Don later was a member of the Stylemasters Big Band. He served in the United States Air Force as a cryptographer. He was a program analyst with Allied Communications, Alltel and then retired from Windstream. Don was a longtime friend of Bill W. and a dedicated volunteer at the Wolfe Street Center. He is survived by his sisters, Susan Moranda (Steve) of Florida and Janice Rosevear (Bill) of Virginia; niece and nephews, Jennifer Hart, Scott Moranda, Jeff Rosevear, and Robby Rosevear; six great-nieces and nephews; and his furry companion Pepper. Memorials may be made to Wolfe Street Foundation, 1015 S. Louisiana Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72203. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 North, Alexander, Ark. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
