Maurice Anthony Gibson

Maurice Anthony Gibson, 68, a resident of Rogers, Ark., passed from this life on Dec. 14, 2016 in Bentonville. He was born July 28, 1948 in Albany, Ga., to Forrest Eugene and Anna Rae (Lumpkin) Gibson. He is preceded in death by his parents; his half-brother, Joseph Gibson; and his grandson, Zackory Muma. Maurice traveled the world as a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. He loved woodworking, gardening and animals, especially his dog, Donnelly. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Beatrice (Dewitt) Gibson; his children, Crystal Rae Gibson of Chadron, Nebraska, Rick Gibson of Rogers, Ark., Jennifer L. Morphis and her husband Greg of Benton, Ark., and William F. Gibson and his wife Atsuko of Federal Way, Wash.; his siblings, Earl Gibson of Pensacola, Fla., Bill Gibson and his wife Lori of Aurora, Colo., and Kenny Gibson and his wife Nancy of Milton, Fla.; his grandchildren, Aidan Raine Morphis and Mei Akabane Gibson.
