Billie Sue Sample West

Billie Sue Sample West, 87, of Benton, Arkansas passed from earth into heaven on December 21, 2016. She was born February 12, 1929 in Benton, Arkansas to the late Billy Richard and Lorie Smith Sample. Billie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Benton. She worked in Property and Casualty Department of Thomas Insurance Agency. Billie was co-owner of H. West Construction Company. She was a member of the Saline County Quilting Guild and enjoyed porcelain painting. Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert West; son, Bill West; and an infant son and daughter. She leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Brenda Sims and husband Ralph of Benton, Arkansas; grandsons, Michael Sims of Benton, Arkansas and Brian Sims and wife Belinda of Greenwood, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Colton Sims, Kaylynn Sims, Evan Sims, and Adam Sims; brother, Bobby Sample of Benton, Arkansas; two sisters, Jo An Standfill of Bryant, Arkansas and Martha Carolyn Lee and husband Paul of Sun City, Arizona; sister-in-law, Merle Newcomb of Benton, Arkansas; and many more family members and friends who loved Billie and will miss her always. Reception visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2016 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas. Funeral service, officiated by Rev. Ben Crismon, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Burial following at Lee Cemetery with Ralph Sims, Michael Sims, Brian Sims, Colton Sims, Evan Sims, Adam Sims and Kaylynn Sims assisting as pallbearers.
