William L. "Bill" Earwood

William L. "Bill" Earwood, 90, of Marion, Ark. died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016. He was a member of the West Memphis First Baptist Church for 55 plus years. A WWII Army Veteran of "The Greatest Generation" proudly serving in the Peace Keepers in Japan. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. In retirement he enjoyed his hobbies of restoring antique cars and guns, creating a railroad town for his grandchildren to enjoy his antique train collection. Preceded in death by his parents William Oliver and Minnie Ward Earwood survivors include his wife of 65 years, Nancy D. Earwood of Marion; sons, Baker David (Diana) Earwood of Flovilla, Ga., William Dana (Charlotte) Earwood of Rogers, Ark.; daughters, Elizabeth Ann (Brian) Briggs of Sanford, N.C. and Allison Davis (Mike) Shivley of Rogers, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in West Memphis with funeral services at 11 a.m. Brother Steve Smith and Dr. Ron Kirkland will officiate. Burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church in West Memphis, 200 Missouri Street, West Memphis, Ark. 72301.
