Janice Lorene DeJarnatt, 76, of Guy, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016. She was born Feb. 26, 1939 in Elba, Ark. to the late John A. and Maude (Basinger) Passmore. Jan was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene DeJarnatt; daughter, Angela Denise DeJarnatt Russell; sisters, Ruth Palmer and Glenda Killough; and brother, Ardith Passmore. Jan was a longtime member of Copperas Springs Baptist Church. She was employed at Guy-Perkins School District for many years up until her retirement. Jan enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, crocheting, plastic canvas crafts, and traveling to Tunica with her brother, Waymon. Most of all, Jan loved spending time with her friends and family. She had a very generous and selfless heart and was also known for her contagious laugh. Jan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Janice is survived by her daughter, Janean Couch and her husband, James of Conway; one brother, Waymon R. Passmore and his wife, Wonna Sue of Guy; grandchildren: Kellie Couch, Tyler Couch, Mason Russell, and Madison Nolan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1 at Copperas Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday at the church with Bro. Gary Burdin officiating. Burial will follow at Copperas Springs Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be George Passmore, Robert Passmore, Johnny Passmore, Walter Passmore, Stanley Stewart, and Steven Thorn.
