Forrest Hurd of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on January 28, 2016. He was born on January 22, 1922 in Las Vegas, Nevada to the late Adelbert George and Nora Olivia Hurd. He served in WWII in the Pacific Theater. He had a wonderful career with the State of California in the accounting department. Forrest was a devote Christian and a longtime member of First Assembly of God in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Forrest loved his family and most of all he loved the Lord. Forrest is preceded in death by two sisters, Nora and Jan and one brother, Carl Hurd. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Barbara Hurd; two sons, Carl Hurd (Leigh) and Dr. Steve Garst (Kim); two daughters, Zelda Richardson (Ray) and Phyllis McDivitt; two step sons, Jon Kennedy and Dale Kennedy (Angela) and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 9 a.m. at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Funeral service will be held February 4, 2016 at 10 a.m. at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. Burial will be at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers family asks that memorials may be made to First Assembly of God, North Little Rock Missions.
