Hershel Anderson Webb of Floyd, Arkansas was born January 15, 1916 to Mallard Stanley Webb and Vera Forbes Webb. He passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the age of 100. Hershel was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He will be greatly missed by all. Hershel was a farmer, Postmaster at the Beebe Post Office, and retired from Farmers Home Administration. He is preceded in death by his parents; wives, Mildred Roush Webb and Louise Hill Webb; daughter, Patricia Ann Fisher; grandson, Seth Edward Stracener; three brothers; three sisters; and son-in-law, Marvin Stracener. Hershel is survived by his son, Laney Webb and wife, Peggy of Floyd; a daughter, Nell Stracener of Floyd; sister, Alice Marie Choate of Floyd; grandchildren, Steve Stracener and wife, Sheree of Dry Fork, Virginia, Scott Stracener of Floyd, Stan Stracener of Cabot, Andrew Fisher and wife, Clara of Batesville, Amy Pryor and husband, Matt of Manilla, Cindy Russenberger and husband, Doug of Sherwood, Kelly Webb of Beebe, and Kyle Webb of Bryant; stepsons, Danny Hill and wife, Susan of Maumelle, David Hill and wife, Maribel of Texas; stepdaughter, Dixie Hill Dunham of Marquette, Michigan; numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and friends. Memorials may be made to Floyd United Methodist Church, c/o Frances Jenkins, 1125 Hwy. 305 S., Searcy, Ark. 72143. Family will receive friends starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Smith- Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. and burial in Romance Cemetery.
