Jesse L. Parker, Jr.

Jesse L. Parker, Jr., age 80, of the Randall community, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016. He was born Feb. 14, 1935 in Grady, Ark. to the late Jesse L. Parker, Sr. and Elza Newton Parker of Randall. Mr. Parker was saved and Baptized at age 16 and had been a member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church and Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Parker attended Woodlawn School, graduating in 1953 and also attended what is now known as UAM. He joined the Naval Reserve at age 17 and later served in the United States Air Force. He was a past Master of Pine Bluff Lodge #69, a dual member of Mill Creek Lodge #178, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason of Little Rock and a life member of York Rite Bodies of Pine Bluff. Jesse worked for the railroad for over 40 years. He began as a young man with the Rock Island RR in Little Rock then signed on with the Cotton Belt RR and was working for Union Pacific when he retired. He made many friends during his time with the RR and made a point of staying in touch with them. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Charlotte Traywick. Jesse was a much loved husband, father, pawpaw, brother and uncle. He loved ALL his family unconditionally. He LOVED to fish. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Ellen Camp Parker; three children: Pam Clark (Allen), Jesse Parker (Amy) and Penny Noyes (Allen); eight grandchildren: Zack Clark (Meagan), Alex Clark (Genea), Lily Clark, Callie Parker, Luke Parker, Casey Parker, Maggie Noyes and Parker Noyes; two great-grandchildren, Vandy Clark and Preston Clark; sisters: Gladys Tucker and Orpha Howard of Pine Bluff, Wanda Finley of Japan and June Murdock of Redfield; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, 12:30 p.m. until service time at Robinson's. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, 2016 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Brother Don Breshears and Dr. Roger Stewart officiating.
