Delmar Dean Garman, 85, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 at Clarity Pointe in Fayetteville. He was born Dec. 27, 1930 in Hazelton, Kan., the son of Francis and A.D. Garman. Dean proudly served during the Korean War in the U.S. Marines where he earned numerous awards, including the Purple Heart. In 1974, Dean founded RoArk Printing and was the owner and operator for many years. During his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gathering with family and friends. Dean was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 30 years, Marilyn Graul Garman; three sisters: Phyllis Triplett, Alice Ricke, Leona Garman; two brothers, Arnold (A.J.) Garman, and Richard Garman. He is survived by two sons, Don Garman and wife, Terri of Rogers, Ron Garman and wife, Sharon of Rogers; two daughters, Tina Noble of Rogers, Tamie Fletcher and husband, Rob of Wellington, Kan.; one sister, Juanita Eckert and husband, Carl of Kiowa, Kan.; five grandchildren: Tyler Garman and wife, Lindsey of Rogers, Kylie Whitehead and husband, Trey of Prosper, Texas, Jessica Thompson and husband, Tyler of Bentonville, Rees Noble of Fayetteville, Dalton and wife, Ellen Wood Guilfoil of West Allis, Wis.; and six great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to: Clarity Pointe in Fayetteville, Alzheimer's Foundation, or Circle of Life Hospice.
