Elizabeth Lokey

Elizabeth Lokey died at Butterfield Trail Village Health Care Center on Feb. 2, 2016. She was born in Enid, Okla. on Aug. 8, 1923, where she lived until going to the University of Oklahoma. She resided most of her life in Houston, Texas where she worked many years for Trunkline Gas Company and retired as assistant to the company president. After her husband's death she moved to Fayetteville to be near her sister who had moved from Iowa City, Iowa to live at Butterfield. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvah Lee and Ida Lee Fisher; husband Walter Lokey; sister Frances Fisher Woods; brother Lee Fisher; and niece Amanda Woods. She is survived by nieces Frances Woods (Clark Milligan), Elizabeth Woods, and Dorothy Whiston (John) as well as five grandnephews and two grandnieces. Mrs. Lokey delighted in her family and friends and was known for being energetic and good-humored. There will be a memorial service for Mrs. Lokey in the Convocation Room at Butterfield Trail Village on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. Benton County Memorial Park arranged for her burial with her husband at the Houston National Cemetery. Mrs. Lokey was and her family is grateful for the loving care she received from the staff at Butterfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Butterfield Trail Village Foundation, 1923 Joyce Boulevard, Fayetteville, Ark. 72703.
