Jack Harold Terry

Jack Harold Terry, 78, of Benton, Ark., passed away Dec. 31, 2015 in Bryant, Ark. He was born March 9, 1937 in Paris, Ark. to the late Norman and Iva Poynter Terry. After high school, he attended Little Rock Junior College. Jack worked for 3M Corp. for 37 years, retired in 1993 and continued to Broker freight with Neighbors Transportation. Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years, June Riggan Terry of Benton, Ark. and nephew, Jim New (Cordell); nieces, Carlene Spurgers (Jim), Teri Baird (Michael); and three great nieces. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Hershel Croy; three sisters: Alice Ann Terry, Dois Nann Terry, and Anna Marie Terry; and brother, David Allen Terry. Jack has been a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and working with children. He was kind and compassionate person and will be greatly missed by relatives and friends. We thank our church family for their prayers, Dr. Herrington and staff for great care, and Saline Memorial Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Youth Department of Calvary Baptist Church, Benton, Ark. or Saline Memorial Hospice. Entombment will be held at 10 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Ark. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N.
