Anderson H. Williams III

Mr. Anderson H. "Andy" Williams III age 69, of Forrest City, Arkansas died Saturday, January 2, 2016 in Forrest City. Mr. Williams was born December 3, 1946 in Cordell, Oklahoma. He was the son of Anderson H. Williams Jr. and Mary Cullom Williams. Mr. Williams was a retired Colonel with the Army National Guard, a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a past Farm Bureau President, Rotary Club member, member of the Men's Golf Association at the Forrest City Country Club. He was elected to the Board of Philander Smith College. Mr. Williams married Robin Chappell in 1974. She survives him along with a son, Chap Williams of Little Rock; three brothers, Jerry Williams of Memphis, Charles Williams of Frisco, Colorado and Joe Williams of Wilson, Arkansas. He is also survived his mother-in-law Ginny Chappell of Forrest City. There will be a celebration of life gathering at the Williams home at 528 Knight Street, Forrest City, Ark. 72335 on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. The family request memorials be made to the ALS Association, Men's Golf Association FCCC, St. Jude, the St. Francis County Farm Bureau Scholarship.
