B.K. Harris

B.K. Harris, age 77, of Hamburg, AR, entered into the eternal presence of His Savior July 3, in Little Rock, Ark., at Baptist Medical Center after a years battle with leukemia. Born July 12, 1938 to Frank Polk Harris and Olga Viola Prinzing Harris he was a retired Southern Baptist Minister having served as a pastor for over 42 years in several Arkansas churches. B.K. was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church in Hamburg and also worked as a computer programmer for many years. His passions in life were family, fishing and sharing the gospel. Also preceding him in death was a spouse, Linda Adams Harris whom he married December 20, 1957, grandson, Christopher Keanan Harris; brothers, Edsel Harris, Alfred Harris, an infant brother; sisters, Elizabeth Harris, Betty Harris. Survivors are his wife Joy Akin Harris whom he married August 11, 2012; two sons, John Keanan Harris (Angie), Warren, Ark., Mark Kevin Harris (Joan) Hampton, Ark.; one sister, Martha Ketzscher (Chuck), North Little Rock, Ark.; three step-daughters, Darlene Skender (Paul), Crossett, Ark., Wendy Dailey (John) and Tana Vail (Jerry) all of Hamburg, Ark.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Smith (Matthew), Ashley Harris, Jonathan Harris, Ethan Harris; six step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren. Funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday, July 7, at Frazer's Chapel. Burial Wilmar Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at Frazer's.
