William Lee "Bill" Boyd

William Lee "Bill" Boyd, 61, of Ward, died Tuesday July 12, 2016. Bill served 4 years in the US Navy, serving as a Navy SeaBee. Bill was retired from the Cabot and Ward Public Works, a Baptist and a Mason. He is survived by his mother, Geneva Boyd of Ward, a son; Max Boyd, 4 step sons; Jeramie and John Davis of Ward, Matt and Bo Swearengin of Cabot, two sisters; Barbara (David) Bates of Ward, Brenda (Freeman) Hodges of Cabot. He was preceded in death by his dad, John "Woody" Boyd and a brother John Patrick Boyd. A celebration of Bill's life will be 2 p.m. Friday, ,July 15. at Smith Westbrook funeral home with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery by Smith Westbrook Funeral home, a certified Veterans Care provider. www.SmithFamilyCares.
