William P. Nelson

William P. Nelson, 83, of Maumelle passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016. Born August 20, 1932 in Levy, Arkansas to John and Catherine Nelson. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bettye Blackerby Nelson; daughters, Sherri Keesee (Scott) and Kimberly Reynolds (John); Sherri's children, Zachery, Rachael, Jonathan, Sarah and Catherine, Sherri's grandchildren, Briley and Blakely; Kimberly's children, Carter, Tessa and Perri; his siblings, Charlotte Trieber, John Nelson (Dorothy), Mary Lou Fry (Ed); and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nellie Mae Vogt and her husband, Marvin; and his brother-in-law, Marshall Trieber. Memorials may be made to Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church, 9921 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 21 at Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church with Reverend Britney Watson. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
