Herschel B. Breckenridge

Herschel B. Breckenridge, 89, of Beedeville departed this life Wednesday, July 20, 2016. He was born October 6, 1926 to Virgil Houston and Elesin (McFadden) Breckenridge. He was a member of Beedeville Church of Christ. Mr. Breckenridge was a WWII Veteran, a member of the VFW, enjoyed reading, working in his barn, painting, and inventing things. He liked telling stories and he and his great grandson traveled to Washington D.C. with other WWII Veterans on an Honor Flight. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers; Paul Mac, Gary, and V.H. Jr. His survivors are his wife; Naomi Breckenridge of Beedeville, one son; Danny Breckenridge and wife Pam of Paragould, one daughter; Rhonda Melton of Benton, one brother; Glen Breckenridge of Newport, one sister; Lily Cinek of New Jersey, four grandchildren; Jay Sawyer of Bentonville, Jason Breckenridge of Moorehead, Kentucky, Adam Breckenridge of Kansas City, and Syndal Cook of Conway, and ten great grandchildren; Zack Breckenridge of Paragould, Emma Claire Sawyer of Bentonville, Lily Sawyer of Bentonville, Emily Barnett of Newport, Kayson Breckenridge of Newport, Lucy Breckenridge of Kansas City, Susanna Breckenridge of Kansas City, Georgie Breckenridge of Kansas City, Ryder Cook of Conway, and Mylee Joe Cook of Conway. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 at Beedeville Church of Christ. Burial will be in Eight Mile Cemetery.
