Joe Corley Peacock

Joe Corley "J.C." Peacock, age 72, of Jacksonville passed away on July 21, 2016. He was born April 29, 1944 in Little Rock to the late Devoe and Opal Peacock. Joe was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Ark. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Peacock, and his grandfather, Dr. A.L. Peacock of North Arkansas. Joe served his country in the United States Navy during the Cuban Blockade and the early part of the Vietnam conflict and he also served on the USS Enterprise. Upon Honorable Discharge, Joe joined the International Aerospace Workers Union working for McDonald Douglas out of St. Louis helping to build aircraft for the Vietnam Conflict. Joe was retired from Local Union 155 after 35 years. He was a Master Plumber, carried a Heating and Air Contractors License and was a Certified Welder. He is survived by his brother, James E. Peacock of Jacksonville and his sister, Nancy Sevier of North Carolina, three sons: Joe Peacock Jr., Lance Peacock, Cory Peacock, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park with Military Honors. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home & Crematory (501) 982-2136.
