Leva Evelyn Hardcastle, 95, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on July 26, 2016. Born in 1921 in Pickett County, Tennessee to Benton and Lona Manis, she lived most of her life in central Arkansas where she worked and raised her family. She worked for 37 years at MM Cohn. She was an avid follower of golf and basketball on television and a die-hard Razorback fan. But nothing compared to her highest calling and greatest passion, being a mother and grandmother. She also loved the Lord and attended Living Truth Church until her health would no longer permit. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Hardcastle. Left to cherish her love is her son Jim (Tenia) Hardcastle of Oakland, Tenn., and daughters Susan (Doyle) Conley and Kathy (Ken) Thompson, both of Central Arkansas; grandchildren Brian Hardcastle, Kristy Hutchins, Lucas Martin, and Todd Conley; six great-grandchildren, and anyone that was fortunate enough to call her friend. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. with a visitation immediately prior at 1 p.m., both services at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 N, Alexander Arkansas. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Living Truth Church, P.O. Box 194201, Little Rock, Arkansas 72219.
