Shirley Joan Gore

Shirley Joan Gore, 87 of Bella Vista, and formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Wednesday July 27. She was born October 28, 1928 to the late Ford and Mildred (Durphy) Greenhow in Marshalltown. For 35 years she was the loving wife of Max Gore who survives. Shirley enjoyed playing bridge, traveling the worlds of Egypt, Jordan, Kenya on to Hong Kong and Singapore, numerous Eurorail trips across Europe and especially enjoyed residing in Saudi Arabia for 15 years before moving to Northwest Arkansas. She was a member of the Bentonville Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Max Gore; her sons, Beuth Haunsperger of Texas, David Haunsperger and Mark Haunsperger of Iowa; Max's daughters, Melinda Ballard (Tommy) of Texas and Andrea Crabtree (Duane) of Oklahoma as well as eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, July 31 in the Chapel of Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Funeral service and interment will be Saturday, August 6 in Marshalltown, Iowa.
