Wanda Jeane Poynter

Wanda Jeane Poynter, 91 of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 in Fayetteville. She was born Feb. 11, 1925 in Gainesville, Texas, to James N. Hendrix and Emma Tracy (Sullivan) Hendrix. She was a homemaker and a Christian and devout reader of the Bible. She is survived by her husband, Ray E. Poynter; six children, David Poynter of Tucson, Ariz., Steve Poynter of Berryville, Ark., Jennifer Hadley of Fayetteville, Ark., Cynthia Isaacks of Waxahachie, Texas, Paul Poynter of Post Falls, Idaho and Tim Poynter of Berryville, Ark.; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, Aug. 1 from 5-7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Ark. A Celebration of her Life will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 2 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
