Joseph Guy Bottom

Joseph Guy Bottom, 88, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Davis Life Care Center. He was born August 15, 1927, in Pine Bluff to Joe and Jennie Guy Bottom. He had worked at Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel before retiring as Superintendent of the dredge "SandHog". He was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, the White Sulphur Lodge and enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Hillard Bottom; sisters, Muriel Hall, Margaret Oliver and Dorothy Bottom. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Ford Bottom; sons, Guy Bottom (Diane) of Derby, Kansas, Jerry Bottom (Laura) of Missouri; daughter, Madeline Strong (Gorman) of Pine Bluff; step daughters, Jill Green (Mark), Julie McDonald (Tuck) all of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Amanda Post, Adrienne Nowakowski, Kady Hill, Trevor Green, Meredith Little, Cory McDonald; great-grandchildren, Emerson, Whiteaker, Ava, Braden, Charlotte and a sister Betty Nugent of Camden. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time, Thursday, at Robinson's. Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2016, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
