ROBERT OSCAR JOHNSON JR., age 65, of Jacksonville passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was born Oct. 14, 1950 in Brattleboro, Vt., to the late Robert O. Johnson Sr. and Sarah Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a retired United States Navy veteran and he later went on to retired from Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock. He was a faithful member of Jacksonville Church of the Nazarene where he played bass guitar. He was a multi-talented musician playing the bass guitar, bongos and the drums. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Adelina Johnson, two daughters, Lisa Bonsall, Emily Milligan and her husband Chad, two brothers, Stanley Johnson and his wife Karen, Russell Johnson and his wife Aida, two nieces, Melissa Rainwater and her husband Gale, Michelle Gibson and her husband Sean, 15 grandchildren, one adopted grandchild and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2016 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Jacksonville Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Greg Armstrong officiating.
