Bernardine A. Leding

Bernardine A. Leding, 90, of Fort Smith, Arkansas entered into rest on June 8, 2016. She was born April 15, 1926 in Salina, Kansas to the late Leo C. and Mary Fritz-Neihouse. She loved God and was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother and friend to all. Everyone she met was greeted by her beautiful smile. She enjoyed playing cards, working crossword puzzles, playing games with anyone that walked into her house and conversations with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George A. Leding, two sisters; Mary Lou Young and Imelda Palmer and two brothers; Norbert and Robert Neihouse. She is survived by seven children; Evelyn Quinones of Maitland, Florida, Ralph (Kathy) Leding of Fort Smith, Wanda (John) Johnson of Fort Smith, Bernard (Katie) Leding of Fort Smith, George (Karen) Leding of Greenbrier, Louise (Troy) Powell of Higden and Carl (Michelle) Leding of Little Rock, 17 grandchildren; Joseph Quinones, Lelah, Lesley and Lori Leding, Bryce, Trent, Grant and Jill Johnson, Heather, Jennifer and Kendall Leding, Kelli Wallace, Renee Warford, Tracy Flake, Carlton, Brandon and Emily Leding, 17 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Dorothy Caldarea and Connie Neihouse and three brothers; Harold, George and Leon Neihouse. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Boniface Catholic Church 1820 N B Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas with Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Quinones, Bryce Johnson, Trent Johnson, Grant Johnson, Kendall Leding, Carlton Leding and Brandon Leding. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. until Rosary starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, 4817 Kelley Hwy., Fort Smith, Arkansas.
