Bettie Juanitka Cook, age 89, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 in Fayetteville. She was born April 16, 1927 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the daughter of James W. and Billie Brimage Kelsey. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael M. Cook. Bettie was a wonderful mother and homemaker who always put her family first. She provided encouragement and welcomed everyone, making them feel loved. Her gift for the arts, crafts and cooking brought joy to all those around her. Bettie was a member of the University Baptist Church in Fayetteville and a member of the Cherokee Nation. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, George M. Cook, Jr.: two sons, Tony Cook and his wife Heather of Rogers, Arkansas and Chris Cook and his wife Becky of Springdale, Arkansas and a grandson, Cody Cook of Springdale Arkansas. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Moore's Chapel. Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Monday at Fayetteville National Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
