JOHN PHILLIP HEDGECOCK, age 82, of North Little Rock, died June 8, 2016. He was born in North Little Rock, Ark. on Nov. 6, 1933, the son of Arthur and Louise Hedgecock. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1960. He was a retired Professional Engineer after 31 years of service with the federal civil service and five years with the Arkansas Department of Health. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a Navy veteran during the Korean War. He was a life member of the United States Naval Institute, the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the US Judo Association. He was also a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the love of his life, Treneie Hedgecock; four children, Dr. Kelley Thompson and husband Dr. Robert Thompson, of Maumelle, Dr. John Hedgecock and wife Jennifer, of Bentonville, Cathryn Tomlin and husband Grant, of Conway, and Eric Hedgecock and wife Judy of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Ryan Thompson, Britny Tomlin, Sawyer Tomlin, John Nolen Hedgecock, Katelyn Hedgecock, and Loren Hedgecock; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Malak of North Little Rock and Mrs. Kay Woiteshek of Conway. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, June 13, 2016, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock (501-791-7400), with burial to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
