Sandra K. Hubbell

Sandra K. Hubbell, 75 of Hot Spring Village, passed away on May 25, 2016. She was born in Kewanee, Ill., to the late James and Dorothy (Perrigo) Daulton on Nov. 4, 1940. Preceded in death by her parents; first husband; Richard Lane and second husband, Richard Hubbell. Survivors include her life partner of over 24 years, Calvin Alexander; son, Thomas Lane (Kiersten); and two grandchildren, Matthew and Kaylee Lane, Timothy Lane (Misty); brother, Ronald Daulton (Betty); and two nieces; stepson, David Hubbell (Mary) and three step-grandchildren, Sarah Forbes (Andrew), Seth Hubbell, and Katy Rose Hubbell. Sandy graduated Kewanee High School in 1958 and attended St. Frances School of Nursing in Peoria, Ill. She and her late husband Richard Hubbell, moved to Hot Springs Village from Champaign, Ill., in 1981. Sandy worked for the POA at the Wooden Iron Restaurant at the Cortez Golf Club from 1981 to 1995, where she served as manager for the last 13 years of her employment. She then worked for Pestco until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Hot Springs Village round dancing and qued for the club's dances. Sandy was the founding member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and will be soulfully missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Caruth Village Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Hospice of America Foundation, Inc., at 2135 South Eastgate, Springfield, Mo. 65809 or to the Village Loan Closet.
