Barbara Lucille Greene-Whitfield

Barbara L (Greene) Whitfield, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday June 13, 2016. She was born May 2, 1951 in Little Rock to the Robert H & Margaret L Greene, both who proceeded her in death. A graduate of Central High Class of 1969, she went on to attend the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and later graduated from the University of Phoenix. Later in her career she took a position with AEDD where she served disadvantaged disability patrons until her passing. She was extremely proud of the work that she did with the Staff and clients that she served at AEDD. She loved to talk and brag on the clients, never really met a stranger, loved to smile. She loved to interact and stayed in close contact with her classmates. Barbara is survived by one son, Carlson Greene (Tracy), Benton, Ark.; brother, Adrian Greene (Barbara), Maumelle, Ark.; sister, Shirley Greene of Little Rock, Ark.; nephews, Adrian II, Maumelle, Ark., Marcus (Brittany), & Christopher Greene, all of Little Rock; special aunt, Bertha Hicks, Riverside, Cali.f; great-nephew, Marcus; great-niece, Libya Greene and numerous cousins, her extend family of friends. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016, 11 a.m. at Canaan MB Church, 1700 State Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72206. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
