Dennis Michael Wicker

DENNIS MICHAEL WICKER, 69, of Sherwood, Ark., passed away the evening of Wednesday, June 22, 2016 after a three year battle with brain cancer. Dennis was comforted by his wife and surrounded by loved ones. He was born in St. Charles, Mo., on May 28, 1947, to Ernest and Margaret Ann (Bridgeforth) Wicker. He had a career in insurance for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time surrounded by his family and three grandchildren, vacationing in Hilton Head Island, S.C., and Branson, Mo. He will be remembered for his love for God and his family. On June 22, 1974, Dennis married Carole (Remaklus) Wicker and together they raised their four beautiful children. Dennis is survived by his wife, Carole of Sherwood, Ark.; daughter, Rebecca Ann Wicker of Columbia, Tenn.; son, Derek Wicker and wife Angela of Atlanta, Ga.; Olivia (Wicker) Wilkerson and husband, Ron of NLR, Ark. and Abby (Wicker) Berry and husband, Lance of Maumelle, Ark.; father Ernest Wicker of NLR, Ark.; sister, Beverly (Wicker) Wilkinson and husband Pat of NLR, Ark.; granddaughters, Avery Mae and Samantha Grace Wicker and grandson, Landon David Wilkerson. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ann Wicker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dennis' church, Park Hill Baptist, in NLR, Ark. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd in North Little Rock with funeral services on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
