Charles Olin Hogue

Dr. Charles Olin Hogue, born in Monticello, Arkansas on March 17, 1934 to the late Olin J. Hogue and Lillian Barnett, died June 26, 2016 in Little Rock. After graduating from Monticello High School, he attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and graduated in 1961 from the University of Tennessee Dental School in Memphis. He practiced dentistry in Crossett, Arkansas for eleven years, followed by 28 years on the dental staff at the Veterans Administration. He was a member of Psi Omega Fraternity and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, as well as the Arkansas Dental Society and American Dental Association. Dr. Hogue is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Lyon Hogue of Little Rock and his children, Glenn Hogue (Ginny) and Greg Hogue (Angie), both of Conway, and Gary Hogue (Cissie) of Fort Smith. He is also survived by eight grandchildren who loved their Pops very much, Lauren Hogue, Jackson Hogue, Rob Hogue, Shelby Hogue, Will Hogue, Hailey Hogue, Hannah Hogue and Harper Hogue. The family will receive friends this evening, Tuesday, June 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). A Celebration of his life will be Wednesday, June 29 at 10 a.m. at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, where he had been an active member for 44 years. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Warren. Memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, 2200 Kavanaugh Blvd., Little Rock, Ark. 72205.
