Larry Eulan Dutton, 74, of Palmyra died Monday, June 27, 2016, peacefully at his home. He was born August 23, 1941 on Indian Bayou in the McClum Community in Jefferson County, to the late Clarence Eulan and Vivian Moring Dutton. He graduated from England High School in 1959. After graduation, he began his farming career in the Tamo area until 1986. He then moved to Palmyra to Dutton Farms to raise chickens for Tyson foods. Larry was a member of the Church of Christ at Grady and most recently Church of Christ at Star City. He served on the board of AgHeritage for 16 years, Star City School Board for 11 years, where he served as Secretary from 2001 to 2006, and also served on the Delta Farmers Board of Grady for many years. He also served his community of Palmyra as a volunteer fireman in years past. One of the greatest joys of his life was the Moring Deer Camp, where he enjoyed the thrill of hunting for 61 years. He called it the "Moring Clinic." He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Vivian Dutton; two sons, Timothy Logue Dutton and Kelly Shannon Dutton; and a brother, Tommy Dutton. He is survived by his wife, Katie Rana Dutton, whom he was married to for 55 years. He is also survived by his son, Kip (Tammy) Dutton; daughter, Mandy (Keith) Browning, all of Palmyra; brother, Garry (Donna) Dutton of Palmyra; sister, Pam (Larry)Williams of Oklahoma; two grandsons, Jared (Whitney) Dutton of Pine Bluff and Derrick Dutton of Palmyra; granddaughters, Megan Dutton (Josh) McGriff of Star City and Adrian (Nathan) Moore of Warren; six great-grandchildren and one due in August; many cousins, nieces and nephews that he dearly loved. Funeral services will be held at Griffin Funeral Service of Star City Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. with Bro. Landon Dutton officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Palmyra Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jared Dutton, Derrick Dutton, Josh McGriff, Todd Dutton, Mark Dutton and Josh Dutton, all grandsons and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Palmyra Cemetery Fund, 217 Jeff Rd., Star City, Arkl. 71667. The family will be at the home of Kip and Tammy Dutton, 3609 Jacob Rd., Star City, Ark. 71667.
