Paul Glen Stokes, 83, of Ward, went to be with his Lord and Savior, and his beloved wife, Mary Jean Miller Stokes, on February 27, 2016. He was born August 19, 1932 to the late Nathan Stokes and Clara Wilhelmine Steinfeldt Stokes. Paul was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jacksonville, and he lived deep in his faith. He was a well known farmer and business man in his community. All who knew him will miss his warmth, kindness, and generosity. Above all, he will be remembered as a man who treated everyone with love and respect. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jean Stokes; and his wife, Mary Jean Miller Stokes. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, two daughters, Julie Beasley and husband Billy, and Lisa Branch and husband David, all of Ward; a grandson, Nicholas Branch; step grandson, Jacob Branch; a granddaughter, Heather Beasley; siblings, Erma Stokes, Joyce Stokes, Ernest Stokes, Don Stokes, Anna Stokes, and Dale Stokes; and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 10-11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jacksonville, with service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Old Austin Cemetery.
