Rita Kouri, 93, of Maumelle, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 6, 2016. She was born April 30, 1922 in Coaticook, Province of Quebec, Canada to Louis and Phileman Fournier. Rita was able to read, speak and write in two languages, French and English. She became a United States Citizen on April 7, 1954 and worked in a factory as a weaver for almost 30 years. An avid Bingo player and bowler, she was also a choir member of Epsom Baptist Church in New Hampshire. She traveled to many countries including Israel, China, Philippines, European Countries, Egypt and India. But above all, Rita was a selfless mother to her children. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; three sisters and eight brothers. She was survived by her one son, Raymond Kouri (Julie) of Folsom, California; three daughters, Linda Obremski (Chet) of Maumelle, Ark., Susan Dennison (Tom) of the Philippines, Darlene Kordic (Craig) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother, Gerard Fournier; six grandsons, Jamison Bourque, Elliot, Michael, Jonathon Kouri, Seth and Paul Kordic; six granddaughters, Amber Kordic, Jill, Melissa, Cherry, Hillary, and Heidi Dennison; three great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters. Services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 at First Baptist Church, 120 Millwood Circle, Maumelle, Ark. 72113. Entombment will be at Mt.
