Imogene Fisher, age 91, of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016. She was born in White County in 1924 to Clarence M. and Gertie Faulkner. She was predeceased by her parents and by her husband of 57 years, Marvin Fisher. Survivors include her four children, Larry (Dolores) Fisher of Beebe, Mike (Susan) Fisher of Beebe, Karen (Gerald) Gilbert of Clarksville, Cathy (Don) Foster of Beebe, and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Imogene worked at the Jacksonville Ordnance Plant during WWII. After the war, she was a full time homemaker until she and Marvin opened Fisher's Clothing Store in Beebe in the 1960's. She retired in the 1980's and never forgot her faithful customers. She was a devoted and faithful wife, mother, and Christian who loved her church, First Baptist of Beebe. Her family wishes to thank Dr. Dewey McAfee and all doctors, nurses, and aides who attended Imogene in her last days at Unity Hospital, Searcy. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
