Gloria Holland Craig, 82, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2016 in Camden. She remained alert, with a sense of humor, and thinking of others in her last moments. Gloria was always hardworking, selfless, progressive and inclusive in her thinking and her love of others. She worked as a secretary to the superintendent of the Camden School District until her retirement in 1986. Upon retirement, she and her husband, Elmo spent their golden years fishing on Lake Ouachita, traveling all over the world and doting on their grandchildren. Raising three children, she showed all of them core values of love, respect, tolerance, honesty, hard work and humor. She rejoiced in her grandchildren — and relished in their photos, stories, ambitions and adventures. Gloria loved her husband and was with him always through a long journey with cancer, until he died in 2006. Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Craig; her son, Dana Lynn Craig; and her granddaughter, Kimberly Jane Green. Gloria is survived by two daughters: Stacia Green (Thomas) and Teresa McLeane (David); seven grandchildren: Kris Green, Nathan Green, Nick Green (Elaine), Brittney Craig, Kelsey Craig, Kasey McLeane, and Kirby McLeane; and one great-grandchild: Lex Blevins; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 19 at Cullendale First Baptist Church, 1850 Cash Road in Camden. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to Cullendale First Baptist Church in Camden or the Gloria Craig Business Scholarship at Camden Fairview High School. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. To sign the online guest register visit www.proctorfuneralhome.com.
