Harold “Butch” Adams, 74, of Morrilton, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016. He was born July 29, 1941 in Bigelow, Arkansas, a son of William “Bill” Adams and Sally Anne Hartwick. He was an Army Veteran, member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at the University of Arkansas, Certified Public Accountant, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Fed Ex Corporation, former President at South Conway County School Board, founder and organizer of the South Conway County School Foundation, President of Morrilton Chamber of Commerce, DHS Chairman of the Board. He was a member of the First Baptist Church for 73 years, serving as a Deacon, Sunday School Director, Sunday School Teacher and Church Treasurer. He is survived by his wife, Susan Brown Adams; son, Kevin F. Adams of Tulsa; daughter, Kelly Adams Sims of Morrilton; brother, William Earl Adams of Jackson, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Kathryn Anne Hawkins, Dusti Sims, and Jackson Sims; and great grandson, Heath Hawkins. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Carolyn Yant, and a grandson, Adam Hawkins. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at First Baptist Church of Morrilton with Dr. Bill Brown and Pastor Jeff Estes officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the First Baptist Church.
