Jon Atkinson

Jon Barton Atkinson, 65, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Little Rock. He was born October 16, 1950 in Pine Bluff, son of James P. and Marie Miller Atkinson. Mr. Atkinson was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. He worked as a crop duster for many years before working at the United States Postal Service. Jon was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, horse racing and boating. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gordon Parks Atkinson. Survivors include his good friend, Patrick Stone of Hot Springs. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Lakeside United Methodist Church with Reverend Pam Estes officiating.
