Sandra Ann Hixson

SANDRA ANN HIXSON of North Little Rock went to bed and woke up in heaven on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the age of 69. Her death was unexpected by those who love her. She was born in St. Louis, Mo. on March 3rd, 1947 to Paul and Kathryn Ballany. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hixson whom she married Sept. 17, 1966 in St. Louis, Mo. Sandy was a delight to all who knew her, and added value to many people's lives. Her grandchildren called her Yaya and she showed them how much she loved them every day. She nurtured things with delicate grace until they grew into something beautiful, whether that be her children, grandchildren, or her many lovely plants. She was a Master Gardener through Faulkner County. Mrs. Hixson was preceded in death by her father, Paul Ballany. Other survivors include her son, Jeff Hixson; her daughter, Julie (Travis) Young; three Grandchildren: Dylan Hixson, Madelynn Young and Montana Young; her mother, Kathryn Ballany; her brother, Denis (Cindy) Ballany; and many other dear friends and family that will miss her greatly. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at Fellowship North #1 E. 52nd Place, North Little Rock, AR 72116.
