Kathryn L. Shackelford

Kathryn L. Shackelford, age 86, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016. She was born on March 7, 1930 in Hot Springs, the daughter of Ernest and Dora Pittman. On April 4, 1948, she married James Shackelford, who preceded her in death on January 13, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her son, Roger Shackelford; and her parents. Kathryn was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church and was active in the choir and Wesley Sunday School Class. She retired from Lake Hamilton Schools as a food service director and the co-owner of Cissy's Style Shop. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cissy and John Teague of Hot Springs; her daughter-in-law, Linda Shackelford of Donaldson; four grandchildren, Stacy Shackelford (Jeff Martin) of Woodstock, Georgia, John T. Teague (Tina), Eric Shackelford (Rachel) and Tyler Teague, all of Hot Springs; five great-grandchildren, Drake, Dillon, Lacey, Landon and Iain; three sisters-in-law, JoAnn Shaw, Sue (Don) Cunningham and Carolyn Shackelford; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and a host of friends. Memorial services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Chapel, Hot Springs with O.J. Smith officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Gertie Moore, Ernestine Rowe, Corine and O.J.
