Funeral services for Dr. Helen Freeman Lynch, 88, of Conway, will be held on Wednesday May, 11th 2016 1 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Conway with Burial following at Oakgrove Cemetery. She passed away Saturday, May 7th 2016. Officiating will be Minister Steve Norris from Robinson and Center Church of Christ where Helen was a member. The eulogy will be done by Jim Lane. Family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Helen was born July 13, 1927 in Trees City, Louisiana to the late George Evin Freeman Sr. and Leila Viola McMahon Freeman. She was a teacher and was retired from U.C.A. where she taught for 20 years. She also taught at Harding University, Caddo Parish Schools, Shreveport La.; Union County Schools, El Dorado Arkansas; Hobbs Lee County Schools in New Mexico. She earned her Doctorate from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and was Director of Columbia County Arkansas Welfare Department after graduating from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. Helen is survived by a nephew, Mark Freeman and wife Nan of Wilmington Delaware and favorite cousin Janice Branch and husband Mike of Kilgore, Texas. A special thanks to Helen's very close friends, Carl Woods family who went above and beyond with their loving care for her. And special friend Chris Mitchell for all he has done for her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Alvan (Al) Lynch, her parents, a brother, George Evin Freeman Jr. and his wife June Freeman.
